Kids Beds Bunk

Staircases can also be utilized in rooms that are small as they do not protrude like ladders. They are usually constructed of metal or wood and can complement a variety of bedroom styles. Some staircases have integrated storage drawers. These are ideal for adding more space to the bunk bed.

Another thing to consider when deciding between stairs and a ladder is the age of your child. It is recommended that nobody sleep on the top bunk below the age of 6, children who are comfortable with vertical climbing may be better off with stairs than a ladder. If you are planning to use your bunk bed to accommodate guests, such as older children or adults who have limited mobility, it is best kids bunk bed to use stairs.

A straight staircase that runs along the sides of the bunk requires at least 95" of space on each side. Keep bunk beds clear of electrical appliances and other items that could be projectiles while your children are playing or sleeping. Place bunk beds away from windows to avoid an injury to fall risk when your children climb up on the top level.

It is possible to install a nightlight on the ladder to light the steps up and down in the event that your child gets up at night to use the bathroom, or are woken by the sound of a storm and are forced to leave their room.
