Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can be converted from a single stroller to double stroller by the addition of an additional seat or glider board (sold separately). It can also be set up into a triple travel system by adding the bench seat or an infant car seat. It offers 24 configurations and is a top-rated stroller overall. This model utilizes Baby Jogger's comfortable, breathable TENCEL fabric that aids in thermal regulation and are sustainable sources. It has a leatherette handlebar, bumper bar, and belly bar. It folds 20% smaller than the market-leading single-to-double buggy 3 wheels stroller, the UPPAbaby Vista V2 and is also lighter.
It has a moderate-sized shade and an e-snap-aboo window which is easy to open and close. The telescoping handlebar is one of the easiest to adjust and works well for parents of all sizes. The seats recline and have a footwell adjustment knob so you can position your child for maximum comfort. The storage bin has plenty of room, but we would have preferred to have a more secure latch. The bin is easy to open, however the zippers are a bit annoying because they need to be removed and then secured again after each use.
The City Select, like its siblings, has single-action breaks that are easy to install and release by pulling a lever on the frame side lower than the handlebar. It's sandal and barefoot-friendly and is a step up from the awkward toe-pinch brake lever that a few of the other models use.
This is the only stroller in our review that can accept two infant car seats which makes it a great alternative for twins, or for parents with a single child and a baby coming soon. It can be used to fit most infant car seats made by major brands with an adapter. We tested it with Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30 and Graco Click Connect models and also the Cybex Aton, Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is a great alternative for families who already own a car seat, but need a stroller that can accommodate it. However, you may prefer a convertible stroller for this scenario.
