It's important to remember that to select the pistols in this slot, you need to click on the button for the appropriate category, for example, machine guns in the alternate slot. Having Major Expedition and Adept Rider on makes it easier to do. This combo also gives you an attack tick from the Concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as you have it slotted.

These items are secretly stored in a hidden location on the map, and can be retrieved at any time. The options for planning increase as players advance through challenges and gain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players to prepare the ideal task for each challenge.

Gear Slot

Early on in the game players will notice their gear slots rapidly become full, resulting in the common "Your Gear Slots are Full" message that prevents Max from selecting new equipment until the old items are cleared or more space is found. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which give players more inventory space in exchange for fulfilling challenging missions. Since a lot of these challenges can be missed and are scattered around the world, it may take some time to obtain the maximum number slots for inventory in the game.

Each player has up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. These must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to breaking in. Each gear item (except for the Pistol), takes up one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as Grenades in a grouping) only uses one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress through Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups across the map. These locations let you keep items that do not fit into your concealed slot for gear or weapon and retrieve them later.

These pickups are especially useful if you need to pass through a frisk later in the mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that might otherwise be suspect. You are only able to hide only one item at a pick-up location.

This DLC adds new contracts for asset protection and security to the agency. To begin these missions, simply talk to the receptionist at the agency and purchase armor and snacks. Then, walk to the mission marker and identify a mob when you arrive.
